Private Residence

Niskayuna, New York

LAndArt Studio designed a new walk, entry garden, welcome terrace and rain garden for this private residence. The main walkway is composed of two different types of pavers that create a sense of rhythm as the walk ushers visitors through a  fragrant perennial garden that changes throughout the seasons. A  richly textured mixture of grasses and wildflowers enhance the hillside in front of the house while also adding stabilization and reducing maintenance. A new grilling terrace in the back garden is framed by a rain garden that buffers the walk and terrace from the hillside while bringing multi-seasonal interest and bird and butterfly habitat to the backyard.
